AI meeting notes agent
An AI agent that writes the minutes of your Teams, Meet and Zoom meetings without joining the call
Recapro (recapro.ai) listens to the meeting from your computer or phone, transcribes it, recognises who is speaking and hands you minutes in the format your line of work expects. No robot participant shows up in the video call.
An AI meeting notes agent, in one answer
An AI meeting notes agent captures the audio of a meeting, transcribes it, attributes each turn to its speaker, then writes the minutes with the decisions and action items. Recapro does this for Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Zoom and in-room meetings, from the desktop, web or mobile app. Transcription and writing run on our servers in France or on yours, with no third-party language model.
What the agent does, from the first minute to the minutes
You start the recording, pick the format and name each voice once. Transcription and writing follow with nothing more to do on your side.
-
01
It captures the meeting
On a computer, Recapro records your microphone and the system audio, so the voices of the other participants in Teams, Meet or Zoom. On a phone, it records the room. You can also import an existing audio or video file.
-
02
It transcribes
Transcription covers 70 languages and detects the spoken language on its own. The audio stays available for replay next to the text.
-
03
It recognises voices
Name a person once. In the following meetings, Recapro recognises their voice and puts their name on what they say.
-
04
It writes in your format
You pick the format your work calls for, from formal board minutes to a site visit report, and the minutes come out in that form directly.
-
05
It extracts decisions and action items
The main action items are listed with the person assigned, and with the deadline when a date was stated in the meeting. You see who has to do what without rereading the transcript.
-
06
It keeps the shareable apart from the private
The minutes can go to the client or the team. The debrief you dictate on your way out stays with you, or with the colleagues you pick.
With Teams, Google Meet, Zoom and in the room
Recapro works with any video conferencing tool, because it records the sound from your own device. It needs no access to the platform.
In Microsoft Teams
Start the recording in the Recapro desktop app, before or during the call, with system audio capture ticked. Your voice and the other participants’ voices land in the same recording. On a Mac, this capture requires macOS 14.4 or later.
In Google Meet
Meet runs in the browser. From the Recapro web app, opened in Chrome, Edge or another Chromium-based browser, share the meeting tab and tick the option to share its audio. From the desktop app, system audio is enough.
In Zoom
The steps are the same as for Teams. The desktop app captures your microphone and the Zoom sound, with no Zoom integration to install and no robot account to invite.
In a meeting room
Put the phone on the table and start the recording in the iOS or Android app. The minutes come out in the same format as for a video call.
No bot enters the call, since the recording starts on your device. The bot-free meeting recording page explains this approach and what it changes for your guests.
Before recording, tell the participants and get their consent. The desktop app asks you to confirm this before every recording.
Meeting intelligence: the memory of all your meetings
Meeting intelligence puts all your meetings to work, beyond a single set of minutes. In Recapro, it takes two forms.
One question, all your meetings
Ask what was decided about the budget or who was supposed to call the client back. Recapro answers from your meetings and shows the passages it relies on.
Names on voices
A person named once is recognised in the following meetings, in the transcript and in the minutes alike.
Where the AI that reads your meetings runs
Transcription and writing are produced by open-weights models running on our own servers. No meeting excerpt is sent to a third-party language model to produce the minutes.
Open-weights models
The minutes are written by open-weights models running on our servers in France. Your recordings train no third-party model.
On your servers, if you choose
With the Fortress On-Premise offer, the whole chain runs on a server installed at your site, up to air-gapped mode with no Internet access.
One library on all your devices
The iOS, Android, Mac, Windows and web apps share the same meetings. Minutes recorded on the phone can be read on the computer.
To check these points against the evidence, read the explainer on AI inference sovereignty, the On-Premise page and the sovereignty barometer, which compares the tools on the market on this criterion.
