AI model
MeetGeek uses OpenAI for summaries and chat, in the European Union for the EU instance, with no training and no data retention according to its sub-processor list. Recapro runs open-weight models on its own servers, without calling a third-party LLM provider.
On-Premise
The MeetGeek Enterprise plan includes an On-Premise storage option: recordings can be kept on the customer’s infrastructure. Processing (transcription, AI) on the customer’s servers is not publicly documented as of October 16, 2026. With Recapro Fortress, storage and processing take place on your servers.
Without a connection
MeetGeek does not document transcription without an internet connection as of October 16, 2026. The Recapro mobile app records without a network; transcription then takes place on our servers, or on yours in On-Premise, including in air-gap mode.

Does MeetGeek use my transcripts to train an AI?
According to its privacy policy, MeetGeek does not use meeting content (recordings, transcripts, summaries, AI prompts and responses) to train or fine-tune models, unless there is explicit written agreement, and it contractually prohibits its AI providers from doing so. Recapro does not train any model on your data either.

Does MeetGeek protect confidential meetings?
On the Business plan, MeetGeek makes meetings private by default, with rules to exclude certain meetings from recording. Recapro separates the shared summary from a private debrief, reserved for your impressions and your strategy.
