Modjo states that its data is hosted “in France, on AWS (Amazon Web Services) servers located in the Paris region”. Its DPA specifies hosting by Amazon Web Services in the European Economic Area. AWS belongs to the US group Amazon. Recapro Cloud: data at rest in France at Scaleway (Postgres and object storage, fr-par region); in transit, Cloudflare terminates TLS. Cloudflare is a US company.
AI providers
Modjo’s DPA states that its AI features, which cannot be turned off, rely on several subprocessors, “including Microsoft, OpenAI and Google”, with data hosted in the European Union. Recapro uses open-weight models executed on its servers, or on yours with On-Premise.

Recording video calls
On Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, the Modjo Recorder joins the meeting as a visible participant, named “Modjo Assistant” by default; the name can be customized. Recapro records from the desktop app or the mobile app, with no added participant.
